FAQ's

Have a question? Well it was probably already asked, and I have the answer below. If you still have any other questions, please feel free to contact me and I will get back to you as soon as I can.

"Are Nano Brows the same thing as Microblading?"

No, they are not. Nano Brows are actually less invasive and last longer than microblading. I explain the differences more in depth under the tab "Why Nano?".

"How long do they last?"

How long they last is truly up to skin type and how well the individual takes care of their brows. Remember, this is just like a tattoo, just not as permanent.

Nano Brows will last 1-3 years before needing a color boost, but depends on the following:

1) Skin Type

   - Oily: may not last as long, so proper care is important (1 year or more)

   - Other skin types may exceed 3-5 years

2) How well you maintain your brows

   - Are you using sunscreen?

   - Do you use approved facial products without acids in them?

   - Do you wear a hat if you know you'll be outdoors all day?

Nano Brows will last up to 3-5 years until it completely fades. A bonus to this, is that brow trends change, so this gives you the freedom to reshape your brows if you want.

"Does it hurt?"

Everyone's pain tolerance is different. Some clients fall asleep because they find it relaxing, while others can't wait for it to be done. Nano Brows is a minimally invasive procedure, so it's more of an annoying pain. The discomfort is similar to tweezing a group of hairs at once or waxing, but less than the discomfort of microblading or getting a tattoo. I do use a numbing agent in between my passes.

"Do I have to do anything before my appointment to be prepared?"

1. Don't wax or tweeze your eyebrows a week prior to procedure.

2. Don't get a facial at least 2 weeks prior to procedure.

3. Don't sunbathe or tan the day of your procedure.

4. Don't use retinol or Vitamin A products 1 month prior to procedure.

5. Avoid alcohol 24 hours before procedure: Alcohol thins your blood, which means excess bleeding. When you bleed more than normal, it can cause visibility issues for the artist and can thin the ink.

6. Avoid caffeine, ibuprofen, and aspirin 24 hours before procedure.

7. Avoid wearing makeup or skin care near brow site (eye brows to hairline) day of procedure. The artist cleans the area before procedure, but starting off with fresh, clean skin is always helpful.

"Is there aftercare?"

Yes. You will receive all the tools you need before you leave your appointment to provide your brows the extra love they need. You will be provided soap and ointment that you need for your routine during the healing process.

"What should I expect after my appointment?"

Day 1: You'll love them and brag to all your friends to get approval.

Day 2-4: They will get super dark, but don't worry this is not the color they will be. Trust the process!

Day 4-7: They will possibly lightly scab and get itchy, but what ever you do, don't touch or pick at them!

Day 8-10: They will appear super light. This is normal. It's just your skin healing over the pigment.

Day 14-28: Color is back and appears how they need to be. Well done for trusting the process.

"Why do I need a touch up?"

Nano Brows is a two-step process.

Appointment 1 (initial procedure): This is the longest appointment because we work out all the details. We will discuss what you envision your brows to look like, then we map your facial features to create the perfect brow by your description and measurements. Mapping can take up to 45 minutes alone. Once you agree to the shape, we start the procedure process. This consists of two passes per brow.

Appointment 2 (touch up): This is basically a checkup. We will go over each nanostroke/shade that needs extra love with the needle again. Then we will perfect the look by possibly adding additional strokes/ shade and tweak the shape of brows if needed. This is also a time, where you can ask for them darker or thicker if you want. â€‹

Is there anything else I need to know before booking my appointment?

A lot of clients want fresh brows right before a vacation. Keep in mind, you will not be able to use steam, sauna, or swim for 10 days after this procedure. You will also not want to be in direct sun light for 10 days as they heal, so hats are highly recommended.
